Join us as we discuss the wine regions of Austria and take a virtual trip down the Danube River. Discover why Vienna and the surrounding areas were such an important part of the wine industry in the 13th century. We will tour the areas from north to south, and discuss the winemaking regions, or weinbaugebiete, of Niederösterreich, Wien (Vienna), Burgenland, and Styria (Steiermark). We will also discuss the noble grapes of Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch & St. Laurent amongst many other treasures.
