USQ I Burgundy Wine 101

13 E. 13th Street, New York 10003

It is said that, “Burgundy (Bourgogne) is a holy grail for wine geeks: a region impossible to master, impenetrable to the casual observer, and endlessly fascinating.” In this exciting, introductory class, we’re exploring the two most popular grape varietals of Burgundy: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Burgundy is home to an array of exciting provinces, each of which produce a different iteration of these infamous grape varietals. In addition to geography and climate, we will discuss AOP wine laws and regulations, grapes, food and pairing suggestions. 6 wines will be tasted, and chef curated cheese boards will be provided.
