USQ | An In-Depth Guide to Willamette Valley

13 E. 13th Street, New York, NY 10003

We're exploring Willamette Valley - namely, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay - with winemaker Rollin Soles of ROCO Winery. Born and raised in Texas, Rollin has been making exemplary Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sparkling Wine in Oregon for the last three decades. His very first ROCO vintage was poured in the White House, and since, he was named one of the “20 Most Admired Winemakers in North America.”

In this class, Rollin is providing his personal interpretation of what’s unique about the sub-AVA’s (regions) of Willamette Valley with Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills, Eola Amity, Yamhill Carlton, and Chehalem Mountains. Additionally, he will share a bit of Big Picture “terroir” while examining how the region's terrior affects not only Pinot Noir but also Chardonnay.
