Union Square | Blind Tasting Wine Dinner with Laura Maniec

Join us for a special 5-course Wine Dinner paired perfectly with wine from our cellar. Chef Laura Walker has created a menu based on Laura Maniec's descriptions where each wine and dish elevate each other. 

Laura M will lead our guests through a blind tasting of these wines, and you will have a chance to practice your blind tasting skills while enjoying the food and wine pairings. 

Allergies and aversions can be accommodated; please note while booking in the comments so we can adequately prepare alternatives for you. 

The price includes food, wine, and a 20% gratuity for the service team. 

1st Course

Scallop Tiradito: turmeric vinaigrette, mint, crispy shallots

Wine: White, pale straw, apricot, a hint of residual sugar, slate, petrol, medium-bodied, high acidity

2nd Course: 

Roasted Pork Belly: gooseberry & elderflower relish, braised leeks

Wine: White, moderate gold, guava, mint, gravel, fresh herbs, vanilla, waxy, full-bodied, medium plus acidity

3rd Course: 

Potato Gnocchi: taleggio cream sauce, chives, dill

Wine: Red, ruby, medium transparency, dried plums, red berries, red clay, medium tannins, medium-bodied, moderate plus acidity, new oak

4th Course: 

Wagyu Steak: potato pave, horseradish butter

Wine: Red, deep purple, opaque, blackberries, cedar, full-bodied, medium plus tannins, showing signs of development 

Dessert: 

Creme Fraiche Cheesecake: walnut streusel & dulce de leche

Wine: Tawny with amber hues, cooked dates, roasted pistachio, moderate sweetness, medium-bodied with moderate plus acidity
