The history of wine is almost as intriguing as the beverage itself. Each wine region across the globe has an iconic founder that started and led the region’s success. Many of these individuals thought outside the box, and broke countless rules along the way. They were revolutionaries, trendsetters, and trailblazers. In this class, we're exploring the producers of the Rhône Valley, traditional and modern, who have made their mark in the North or South, due to an iconic style or no apologies way of doing things. We'll discuss winemaking techniques employed to craft singular styles like destemming vs whole cluster, cold soak, racking, and different types of fermentation and aging vessels. This is the perfect class for a history-buff or a wine lover looking to stock their cellar with iconic wines.
