We'll learn all about how history has shaped the wine regions of today, looking at the revival quality winemaking following the "noble experiment" of prohibition. When we lost our palates, a few winemakers sought to pave the way for the introduction of thoughtful, artful wines. We'll discuss the Judgement of Paris, the creation the American Viticultural Area (AVA), the rise of the American Wine Critic, and those producers who paved the way and changed the American landscape of wine. We'll discuss wine law, geography, geology, migration and the key players and names to know in wine that were and are still today important.
