Corkbuzz Online | American Wine History Part 2: 1960's to Present

We're diving deep into the History of America Wine in this two part series, perfect for celebrating the upcoming 4th of July holiday. We'll learn all about how history has shaped the wine regions of today, looking at the revival quality winemaking following the "noble experiment" of prohibition. When we lost our palates, a few winemakers sought to pave the way for the introduction of thoughtful, artful wines. We'll discuss the Judgement of Paris, the creation the American Viticultural Area (AVA), the rise of the American Wine Critic, and those producers who paved the way and changed the American landscape of wine.  We'll discuss wine law, geography, geology, migration and the key players and names to know in wine that were and are still today important.

Zoom links will be sent via email on the morning of the class. Follow-up notes are sent the following day.
