We all know and love wines from California, but have we really explored the rest of the west coast wine treasures? In this class, we're exploring Oregon and Washington State. While their proximity is close, the two wine producing states couldn't be more dissimilar. Join us as we discuss the coastal similarities and differences, grape varieties, climate, weather, history, and wine production. Additionally, we'll take a look at the major wine producing regions along with their sub-AVAs to better understand how soil types, the rain shadow effect, and weather impact the final wines.
