About Viña Sastre & Sara:

Viña Sastre is an iconic, family-run winery from Ribera del Duero. The winery is located near Burgos in the town of La Horra, famous for making the powerful, distinctively structured reds from old vine tempranillo grown near the Duero river.

Sara Sastre is the second generation of Viña Sastre, and brings youthful enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to the family business. She currently serves as the public face of the winery as its export manager, and her younger brother Raúl has joined their father in the vineyards and winery. The Sastre family have been grape growers in Ribera del Duero for generations, giving them an unparalleled knowledge of the region’s vineyards. Their wines achieve a level of sophistication and complexity unequaled by almost no other producer in Ribera del Duero.
