SOMM Film Special Blind Tasting Walk-Around Party The SOMM film opens in New York City on June 21 at the Quad Cinema! SOMM trails four young sommeliers preparing for the grueling Master Sommelier exam, which covers wine theory, service and... blind tasting! Check out the film and get inspired, then come blind taste with us and Master Sommelier Laura Maniec at our blind tasting party! At this walk-around, cocktail-style party following the NYC opening of SOMM, you'll get to try 12 mystery wines while you meet and mingle with your friends and fellow guests to determine what you're drinking. Don't worry: There's no judging, and no experience is necessary. We'll provide tasting sheets and snacks — plus expert tips from our own Laura Maniec MS — to help you along. Event Reservations: |

Corkbuzz Clambakes So you can't get to the Hamptons this weekend; we're bringing the clambake to you Sunday nights this summer! Here's how they work: Reserve a table here. Each clambake table seats up to 6 people. Two time slots are available: 6pm or 8:30pm. Tables are $400 total, all-inclusive, paid for at the time of reservation. Dinner includes: clambake feast for up to 6 people and 4 bottles of wine selected by Master Sommelier Laura Maniec. We'll also supply the crab cracker sets, wet naps and bibs. All you have to do is show up hungry — and thirsty. Check out the full menu and our FAQ here for more details. Blind Tasting Happy Hour Meet up with other wine lovers for a special happy hour every Monday and Friday night to learn and practice the art of blind tasting. Flights of three wines are $15 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and poured "blind" with a tasting grid, to be guessed using deductive reasoning. There's no judging, and no reservations are necessary. |
