Sit down with Laura Fiorvanti, Master Sommelier and Owner of Corkbuzz, and dive into the world of wine. If you love sweet, dessert style wines then this class is for you. Sweet wines can be made in a plethora of ways, and despite their name, they don't have to only be enjoyed with the dessert course. In the case of Port, brandy is added to a still wine to produce what is known as a "fortified wine." In other instances, grapes like Riesling are "botrytized" on the vine and turned into late harvest Rieslings like TBA & Icewein. Learn these terms and more while tasting a diverse line up of sweet wines from across the globe. Plus, Laura will discuss her favorite fortified and dessert wine pairings.
