USQ | Kelli White Wine Dinner with Co-Host Laura Fiorvanti

Join Napa Valley resident, author and wine writer of  "Napa Valley Then and Now"  for an intimate dinner and class with Laura Fiorvanti. Kelli and Laura will discuss why Napa Valley is one of their favorite wine regions in the world with a special emphasis on the history, the land, the wineries and the wines of Napa Valley. We will be featuring six of Kelli's favorite wines representing "Old School Producers from Napa Valley" while enjoying a 5-course menu prepared by Chef Kenneth Vallespir. The evening will end with a book signing by author Kelli White. Books will be available to purchase at the dinner. 

About Kelli White | Kelli began working in wine stores during college and from there, her interests in wine blossomed. After working harvest at Domaine Maillard in Chorey-les-Beaune in 2005 Kelli moved to NYC where she opened the market for ViniFrance (Olivier Daubresse Selections), before going to work for Domaine Select. She then transitioned to restaurants, working as a sommelier for the acclaimed Veritas. In 2010, she moved to Napa Valley to develop and run the wine program at PRESS (a restaurant widely acclaimed for its focus on historic Napa Valley vintages) where she developed a list of over 2,000 Napa Valley selections, dating back to the 1940s. Following two years at Vinous, where she worked with cartographer Alessandro Masnaghetti to map the appellations of Napa, she joined GuildSomm as Senior Staff Writer, the position she holds today. 

About her book | Napa Valley, Then & Now, is a 1255 page encyclopedia of Napa Valley's history and geography. It includes roughly 200 producer profiles and thousands of tasting notes stretching back more than eight decades. Napa Valley, Then & Now won both an IACP award for best new Beer, Wine, Spirits book and a Graphis design award. Kelli also has publications in the Sommelier Journal (now Somm Journal), the Organic Wine Journal, and others.
