With a history just as long and often longer as many others in Europe, the countries and wines of Eastern Europe are often overlooked for their more accessible, pronounceable, and understood Western European counterparts. But, just as the tides of change and revolution have swept through these eastern countries, they’ve also reached the members of their wine community. Eastern European wine is more accessible and of better quality than ever before, and the world is taking notice of their indigenous grapes, classically styled winemaking, and still inexpensive wines for the quality. We’ll cover appellation law, history, trends, grapes and styles of  countries like Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Bulgaria, and more.
