How much does it cost to join?

Membership in the wine club is $250 for each quarterly shipment of six wines (plus applicable sales tax and $30 flat-rate shipping). 

 

What are the benefits of joining?

Every three months, you get to taste and learn about six new wines that have been carefully selected by Master Sommelier Laura Maniec. Every wine tells a story about the winemakers who produce it, the region they are working in and the grapes. Laura also includes notes about when to drink the wine, plus tasting notes and other unique quarterly perks like videos and podcasts to help you learn more about what you like.

 

What kinds of wines are included in the club?

Each quarterly shipment includes six diverse wines from all around the world. They will always include whites and reds suitable for the season, and they may also include sparkling, rosé, orange wines or even fortified or dessert wines! Some may be classics, some may be something entirely new and exciting… getting to explore the whole world of wine is part of the fun — and you’ll always get notes and more information from Laura so you can learn while you taste.

 

What are the tags on each bottle?

We include notes about when to drink each bottle:

  • Green tags = ready to drink
  • Yellow tags = slow down; this can age a bit if you’d like
  • Red tags = deserves cellar time; proceed with caution

 

I only drink red (or white) wines. Can I get all red (or white) wines?

The Corkbuzz Wine Club is about tasting and learning about wines from all over the world in many different styles. Shipments will always include both reds and whites and sometimes another category altogether! See above question.

 

Can I request specific wines?

We welcome feedback about what you like and what you’re interested in, but we are unable to accommodate requests for specific wines.

 

How do the quarterly automatic shipments work?

We ship six wines to you every three months. Two weeks prior to shipping you will receive an email reminder that your wines are ready to ship. At this time, if you do not want the shipment, you will have an option to opt out, and your membership will be inactive for that quarter. You may re-activate your membership at any time. If you do not opt out, we will ship the wines to the address you’ve provided. 

 

When is my credit card charged?

Two weeks before each quarterly shipment, we’ll send an email letting you know that your wine is ready to ship. Your card will only be charged once the wine has shipped.

 

Do you keep my credit card information on file?

For your convenience, we do keep your card information on file; it is only charged when the wine ships. Our systems are all PCI complaint; your information is safe and never shared with anyone.

 

Can I send a wine club shipment as a gift?

Yes! On the sign-up page just be sure you check the box that says “This membership is a gift,” and fill in the appropriate message and shipping address. You can then print a certificate to give to your recipient. We will also send your recipient an email before the wine ships with all necessary tracking information.

 

I live close by; can I pick my order up? Or can you reduce the shipping rate?

We ship all of our wines insured and by temperature-controlled truck to be sure they arrive to you in perfect condition. The flat rate for this shipping is $30. At this time, we do not offer on-site pick up.

 

I won’t be home when my shipment is supposed to arrive. What should I do?

We recommend that you ship to a business address so there is always an adult (21 years or older) present to sign for it. If no adult is available to sign for the delivery, the shipping company will leave a note with a phone number you can call to reschedule the delivery.

 

It’s pretty hot (or cold) out right now; is my wine shipment going to be okay?

Yes! We ship all of our wines insured and by temperature-controlled truck to be sure they arrive to you in perfect condition.

 

My package isn’t here yet. When will I receive it?

We ship quarterly. You will receive an email two weeks before your wine is scheduled to ship. Once the wine is shipped, you will receive a tracking notice with details on expected delivery date.

 

I missed my shipment. How can I get it re-delivered?

If delivery was attempted and no adult was available to sign for it, the shipping company will have left a note with a phone number to call to reschedule delivery.

 

What happens if the wine is damaged when I receive it?

Why don’t you ship to my state?

The sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages is controlled by individual states, and we must abide by each state’s law. In the event that a state’s laws are updated to allow shipping, we will immediately allow wine club shipments to that state. Check back soon!

 

How do I cancel or suspend my membership?

We ship six wines to you every three months. Two weeks prior to shipping you will receive an email reminder that your wines are ready to ship.
